THE ANGLO-SIKH WARS – VICTORIAN MILITARY SOCIETY SEMINAR

The Victorian Military Society’s (VMS) annual seminar 2023 will examine the Anglo-Sikh Wars 1845-6 and 1848-9. The seminar will be held at the National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London SW3 4HT on Saturday 29th April from 11am to 4pm. Speakers include: Gurinder Singh Mann of the Sikh Museum Initiative, on ‘Relics and Artefacts from the Anglo-Sikh Wars’; Neil Carleton of the Victoria and Albert Museum, on ‘Sikh Artillery during the 1st and 2nd Anglo-Sikh Wars’; Amarpal Singh Sidhu, military historian and author, on ‘The battlefield of Ferozeshah’; and Christopher Brice, biographer of Field Marshal Gough, on ‘Lord Gough and the Anglo-Sikh Wars’.
