The Linnean Society of London is holding a virtual tea conference between June 22 & 24, 2022 on Zoom. It is inviting BACSA members to take part. With deep roots in East India Company history, the society believes the conference may be of interest to BACSA members. The registration link to the conference programme is live. The conference is free and open to all.
The programme will travel across the maritime routes, tea growing landscapes, and porcelain histories of tea. Research presentations will showcase videos from tea history collections around the world: India (Tocklai), Taiwan, and the UK and USA. Panelists from those collections will round off each day’s research sessions.

Syracuse University, Oak Spring Garden Foundation, and the Linnean Society are the co-sponsors of the event which is organised by Richard Coulton (QMUL), Jordan Goodman (UCL), and Dr Romita Ray (Syracuse University and BACSA member).
