UK-based BACSA members, friends and family too, may be interested in free screenings of this documentary about Romila Thapar, a new film by Eshan Sharma.
A ‘portrait of one of the world’s most influential historians and public intellectuals’, this film, made at her home in New Delhi, explores 94-year old Romila Thapar’s ‘life, memories, ideas and intellectual journey’.
Made in English, with English subtitles, the film is approx. 85 minutes long.
Eshan writes: ‘I am now presenting the film at universities and cultural institutions across the UK. Some screenings require advance registration, while others are open to attend without registration. All are free to attend, and voluntary donations are welcome’
