We were delighted to see the official launch of the new BACSA website at the annual general meeting in April 2021. The much-anticipated website offers a considerable improvement on the previous one and is the result of many hours of volunteer work from the website sub-committee at BACSA. They have generously devoted their time and energy for which we are very grateful.
There is a wealth of information to be found on the new website including details of current projects to conserve old European cemeteries and preserve historic tombs and monuments, and the substantial cemetery archive with listing by geographical area. Current and past issues of our much-loved BACSA journal, Chowkidar, can also be found along with a new shop which offers a variety of items including books and the BACSA tie, the profits from which go to support our work.
Members both in the UK and internationally can enjoy a dedicated Members Area which includes online booking for events and lectures and access to podcasts from our lecture series. Membership applications and renewals can now be done online, making it easier for members and a much-needed development for our membership secretary.
The fresh website design and modern platform, built by website agency Indigo Tree, gives us the opportunity to reach a wider audience. It has been a considerable investment for the charity to ensure that we are well-placed to continue to support and develop the extensive remit which we deliver at BACSA. We encourage all our supporters to explore the website and hope that they will find it a valuable resource.
