India on a Plate
July 26 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
£15.00
Owing to the tube strike which has been called in London on 26 July, we have regretfully decided to postpone the presentation by Sue Norman on views of India on 19th century blue and white china. The event will be re-scheduled in the autumn, and information will be circulated to members when the date has been fixed.
The British have had a long-lasting love of blue and white china, with designs ranging over many themes, including views of India. Sue Norman, a long-established dealer and expert in blue and white, will give an informal presentation on the way in which increasing numbers of paintings and prints were transposed to china for a public which from the 19th century had extensive family connections with India.
The talk will take place over drinks on 26 July, beginning at 6 pm, in London. For further details please email Rosemary Raza, on events@bacsa.org.uk
After the talk, anyone who likes can join in an Indian dinner at a local restaurant.
The talk is open to BACSA members only. To join BACSA, please visit the Join page.
